How to use the console in Baldur's Gate & TotSC (original)

Navigate to your Baldur's Gate install folder and locate baldur.ini. Un
der [Game Options] add the line Cheats=1.

Ctrl+Tab will call up console mode in-game, into which field you may type (or copy-paste) the following commands (syntax, desired value: code, quantity etc.

Removes the fog of war and display the area as if every pixel was explored.

Gives the selected party member 161,000 experience points (the cap for BG:TotSC).

Gives the party 900,000 gold pieces.

CLUAConsole:CreateItem("BOOT01", 6)
Gives the selected party member six pairs of Boots of Speed (enough for a full party).

Takes you to a specific area. By default the L-key returns the AR code, in-game.

Type 0-3 to set the weather.

How to use the console in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
And Siege of Dragonspear

For EE: Navigate to Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition and locate baldur.ini. Add this line: 'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',
For SoD: Navigate to Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition and locate baldur.lua. Add this line: SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')

Ctrl+Space will call up console mode in-game, into which field you may type (or copy-paste) the following commands: 

C:SetCurrentXP("161000") Gives the selected party member 161,000 experience points (the cap for BG:EE).
C:AddGold("100000")  Gives the party 100,000 gold pieces.
C:CreateItem("BOOT01", 6) Gives the selected party member six pairs of Boots of Speed (enough for a full party).

Note that the field won't recognize breaks if you do that; you will have to add your breaks into the field itself (enter/return key). Basic stuff, but it needed to be said.
