Ring of Wizardry Location BG2

Ring of Wizardry is a BG2 item in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. There are actually two Rings of Wizardry in Baldur's Gate 2. One is assembled as part of the mage stronghold quest; the other, is found during one of Jaheira's two personal quests.

This ring is masterfully enchanted, allowing the wearer to memorize more spells than normally possible. It was originally commissioned by spellcaster <CHARNAME>, apparently at great monetary and personal cost.

Ring of Wizardry BG2 Stats

• Gives one extra fifth level spell, one extra sixth level spell and one extra seventh level spell.
• Only usable by: Mage BG2.

The item code for the Ring of Wizardry is RING08.

Ring of Wizardry Location BG1

There are actually two Rings of Wizardry in BG1. The first is found in the south of the Friendly Arm Inn map, and the second is looted from the corpse of Sunin in the far south of Baldur's Gate city (south of the Flaming Fist compound).

Ring of wizardry: 'Evermemory': Long ago, a grand wizard from Amn was rumored to have defied Mystra's limitations on the magical arts. Legends spoke of this wizard being able to cast spells without the limitation of memorization. In the end it was found that his powers stemmed from the several magical rings that he had made for himself. His proclaimed "everlasting memory" was a hoax, though his rings continue to be one of the most sought after items in the Realms.'
