Gauntlets of Dexterity are useful to almost any Baldur's Gate companion lacking in Dexterity, since they enhance Armor Class Baldur's Gate and ranged weapon THAC0 Baldur's Gate.
The problem is that too many warrior companions need the Gauntlets of Dexterity: Ajantis, Kagain, Minsc and Yeslick. In BG2, the prime candidates are Keldorn and Anomen.
Gauntlets of Dexterity Location
In Baldur's Gate 1 Walkthrough, the Gauntlets of Dexterity are found on the corpse of Hairtooth on the bridge-approach to the Gnoll Stronghold (AR5100).
In BG2, the Gauntlets of Dexterity are found in a pile of bones in the undead-infested cave on the approach to the lair of the Unseeing Eye (Keldorn's quest).
