Dwarven Thrower War Hammer +3 BG2

Dwarven Thrower is a BG2 weapon in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. Dwarven Thrower is notable for being the only throwable war hammer in BG2. Unfortunately, due to an engine limitation, DT does not inflict ranged crushing damage as would be expected, but rather missile damage.

That said, the +8 damage vs. giantkin make the Dwarven Thrower a great wield vs. Fire Giant BG2, of which there are many in Throne of Bhaal.

This is a great weapon for Dwarven Kensai BG2.

The item code for the Dwarven Thrower is HAMM06.

This hammer -- not to be confused with the elven made Dwarf Thrower -- is only usable by dwarves. In the capable hands of a dwarven warrior the hammer may be thrown at an opponent.  The magic in the hammer draws it back to the hand of its wielder. If it hits an opponent it does double the normal damage that a hammer would normally do. Against giants and ogres the hammer does an additional +8 damage, due to the special hatred that dwarves hold against these races.
