Adamantite Golem BG2
Adamantite Golem is a Baldur's Gate enemy in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. Due to epic damage resistance BG2, magic resistance BG2 and hammering fists, Adamantite Golems are one of the most lethal and resilient enemies in AD&D 2nd Edition, and therefore Baldur's Gate 2. In addition, Adamantite Golems move like the wind and are therefore not easy to out-run.
How to Kill Adamantite Golems
Thieves of high level can employ Spike Trap BG2 in order to kill Adamantite Golems instantly.
Aside from that...
• Protect ourselves from its heavy hits
Adamantite Fists
Adamantite Golem fists inflict 22-52 bludgeoning aka crushing damage at a rate of 1 ApR. Suffice it to say, we don't want to get hit by them: a crit would chunk most unhelmed mid-level adventurers. Aside from raw supertanking (Armor Class BG2 + HPs), we can protect ourselves more reliably by means of arcane spells such as Mirror Image, Stoneskin and PfMW.

Poison Gas Cloud
The poison plume ejected by the golem is an AoE that inflicts 36 points of over-time poison damage on failed saves vs. Death (stacks). However, there are many ways to gain immuity to poison, such as through scrolls, spells or by wearing the Ring of Gaxx or Periapt of Proof Against Poison [AMUL22].
• Hit it hard and often
Damage Resistance
The main problem is overcoming the Adamantite Golems 90% physical damage resistance. This is all about THAC0, damage, ApR and weapon enchantment level.
The commonest way to kill Adamantite Golems is with a Fighter Mage BG2 of some sort or simply warriors wielding weapons equal to or greater than +3 enchantment, such as Flail of Ages, Celestial Fury or Crom Faeyr -- buffed with Improved Haste.
FoA and CF are especially useful since their on-hit slow and on-hit stun effects are MR-bypassing (and FoA is no-save as well).
It is also advisable to buff the strength score to giant-status because strength modifies our THAC0 and damage.
Powerful mages (Edwin BG2) or arcane parties can also attempt to nerf the golem's magic resistance through multiple castings of the Lower Resistance spell. However, it is probably best to just fire MMM at them at 10 ApR. Is it any wonder MMM is one of the best spells BG2?
Adamantite Golem Immunities
Adamantite Golems are immune to weapons equal to or lower than +2 enchantment. In addition, they are immune to mind-affecting, fire, cold, electricity, acid, magic, magic fire and magic cold. Even though they themselves eject a poison plume (and are immune to poison as a rule), Adamantite Golems are erroneously not immune or resistant to Assassin poison.
Adamantite Golems yield 25,000 XP when slain. We are not able to loot Adamantium Ingots from the wreckage.
Adamantite Golem Location
Adamantite Golems can be found in Windspear Hills, the Planar Sphere, Suldanessellar, Yaga Shura's Lair and Watcher's Keep.
