Imoen BG2
Imoen Location
Imoen is a Baldur's Gate companion in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. The first to join the party, Imoen is found on Irenicus Dungeon Level 1.
Along with Jaheira and Minsc, Imoen is one of three Baldur's Gate canon party members that survived BG1. Khalid and Dynaheir did not make it.
Imoen is a great companion due to her interjections, thief skills, and newly acquired arcane spellcasting ability. But we are not forced to take her. If ditched in Chateau Irenicus, Imoen simply makes her way to the surface by herself, and events play out as if we are together, anyway.
Imoen's Stats
Second only to Edwin BG2, Imoen is primarily a Mage BG2 and should be employed as such (her low Strength score does not matter). Imoen's Dexterity score along with seven Thief levels also make her a capable Thief.
Imoen's Biography
IMOEN chuckles when you ask her about her past, assuming you are just trying to keep her mind on happier times and places. She indulges you, and certainly does cheer up when speaking of how you spent your youths together in Candlekeep. She arrived there the same as you, in the company of your foster father Gorion, but despite this similarity she grew up much more carefree than you did. Indeed, her lighthearted outlook has long kept her immune to the hardships of the world, though the dark confines and horrors of your current location have definitely taken their toll.
Imoen's Belt
Imoen's Belt is an immoveable plot device that prevents her untimely demise in this Prologue portion. What happens is, if she's about to die, a script kicks in that forces her to disband, escape on her own, and spawn on the surface for the scripted cutscene with Irenicus BG2 and the Cowled Wizards.
At the end of the prologue, along with Irenicus, Imoen is taken to Spellhold by the Cowled Wizards. After saving her, the party can recruit her again.

IMOEN is a shadow of her former self, but responds to your inquiries with as much of a smile as she can muster. Obviously shaken by the revelations about your shared origins, she seems determined to make the best of things, despite the uncharacteristic that has now made its presence known within her. The taint of Bhaal was slow to manifest, kept at bay by her carefree outlook, but now the strength of it has shaken her. She is scared of what she might become, and the insight she has gained has made her more concerned about your condition as well.
Imoen Bhaalspawn Abilities
It is also notable that Imoen gains Bhaalspawn abilities such as Draw Upon Holy Might. Charname would actually be quite jealous since his or her abilities are lost in Spellhold to make way for the Slayer transformation, which, however, is clearly inferior to DUHM.
