Korgan BG2
Korgan Location
Korgan Bloodaxe is a Baldur's Gate companion in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. Korgan is found in the Copper Coronet of the Slums District at the start of Chapter 2.
Korgan Stats
As a Berserker BG2, Korgan does not have any glaring weaknesses.
Korgan Biography
When asked about his past, KORGAN growls that unless you want to end up like the members of his last scum-sucking, traitorous party, you'd best keep your over-curious nose to yourself. Seeing as the dwarf is only slightly short of a necklace of ears in proving his enjoyment of slaughter, you decide to obey his request.
Korgan Proficiencies
Axe (*****), Warhammer (***).
Korgan's preferred on-hand weapons include Flail of Ages and Axe of the Unyielding, and when dual-wield BG2 his preferred off-hand weapons are Belm and Crom Faeyr. In the early game (pre-FoA), Korgan usually wields Stonefire & Frostreaver.
The best armor for Korgan is Drow Full Plate or Full Plate Mail.
Korgan's Quest
While Korgan's quest is timed, the timing stops once the party reaches the tombs under the Graveyard District.
Help Korgan recover the Book of Kaza
Korgan can be found in the Copper Coronet (x=950, y=1860) at the beginning of Chapter 2. He joins the party if we agree to help him.
As with Edwin's quest, upon arrival to the Graveyard district, descend to the lower tombs and then make your way to the southern tombs (AR 0802). Korgan should interject just outside the southern tombs. (At this point, he will stay in the party even if we don't continue the quest.)
Clear out the first chamber of undead and then head all the way south to find the tomb already raided (11,250 XP). Slay the undead in the tomb.
Next, go to Pimlico's Estate (AR 0905) in the north of the Temple District. Its location is clearly marked on the map. In the bedroom, Korgan should interject (8,750 XP).
Next, go to the roof of the Copper Coronet in the Slum's District. Korgan will have a back and forth with Shagbag (5,000 XP). Then, the party is forced to slay Shagbag and his party of goons.
The quest is over. The Book of Kaza can be looted from Shagbag's corpse and sold to a merchant.
