Cavalier BG2

Cavalier is a BG2 class in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. As both dragonslayer and demonslayer, the Cavalier is the best Paladin BG2 kit. The to-hit and damage bonuses vs. Demons and Dragons are nice because they are non-trivial adversaries, but the immunity to fear and morale failure can easily be attained through spells and items, such as Chaotic Commands. In addition, poison is rarely if ever an issue and elemental resistances can easily be attained through spells and items as well. Still, the Cavalier is good choice for newbies or players that like traditional, classical adventuring.

Cavalier Description

This class represents the most common picture of the knight: the gentleman warrior who epitomizes honor, courage and loyalty. He is specialized in battling 'classical' evil monsters such as demons and dragons.

Cavalier Advantages

Bonus +3 to hit and +3 to damage against all demonic and draconic creatures.
May cast 'remove fear' 1 time per day per level
Immune to fear and morale failure
Immune to charm
Immune to poison
20% resistance to fire
20% resistance to acid

Cavalier Disadvantages

May not use missile weapons (Note that Cavaliers can erroneously wield throwing axes and throwing daggers, but not darts.Thus, Cavalier's can wield Azuredge Axe).
