Best Dual-wield Weapons Baldur's Gate 2
Dual-wielding or Two Weapon Style is a weapon proficiency combat style in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. Dual-wielding is when we wield one weapon in each hand: an on-hand or main weapon and an off-hand weapon.
We can only dual-wield one-handed weapons and hand-and-a-half Bastard Swords in AD&D 2nd Edition. Dual-wielding two-handed weapons is only an option in D&D 3rd Edition (3.5 Monkey Grip Neverwinter Nights 2).
Due to its ease of acquisition and ApR bonus which enables 10 Attacks under Improved Haste BG2, the best dual-wield weapon in Baldur's Gate 2 is Belm BG2.
Other Good Off-hand Weapons to Dual-wield
- Kundane BG2 (ApR +1)
- Scarlet Ninja-To BG2 (ApR +1)
- Crom Faeyr BG2 (sets Strength to 25)
- Defender of Easthaven BG2 (for Damage Resistance BG2)
- Purifier BG2 (for +dmg vs. Chaotic Evil)
- Dak'kon's Zerth Blade BG2 (+spell slots)

Best Dual-wield Setups
In most cases, the best dual-wield setup is Flail of Ages BG2 on-hand, Belm BG2 off-hand. We can subout Belm for Crom Faeyr if we like, but Belm is usually the best off-hand choice (and Flail of Ages is almost always the best on-hand choice).
Reasons to eschew Belm in favor of something else:
- Our class can't wield bladed weapons in the first place; thus, Belm is not even an option
- We have a pitiful Strength score and Crom would give us more bang for our buck (Haer'Dalis BG2)
- We are Monk BG2 or have access to Use Any Item BG2. Therefore, Scarlet Ninja-To > Belm
- We already have access to 10 ApR through Greater Whirwlind BG2, and want to employ a specific off-hander that confers +dmg to on-hand attacks
- We want to apply an off-hand property to an on-hand conjured weapon (Melf's Minute Meteors).
