Mordenkainen's Sword BG2
A seventh level godly evocation that summons physically immune +4 blades of death that hit with Titan strength and can be buffed with Improved Haste, Mord Swords come in second to Animate Dead for a couple of reasons: the spell duration is short until we get some levels under our belt and they don't see as much use as they are only available in BG2.
Mord Sword is a god-tier spell.
That said, they are the strongest summon - stronger than Summon Planetar in most cases due to their "invincibility" and the ability to summon more than one. (Yes, the Planetar summon cap of one can be broken through with Project Image but I'm not ranking exploits.)
Due to the non-targeting nature of the spell, summoning Mordswords does not break Invisibility or Sanctuary. However, this adv. was removed in BG2 Fixpack.
Mord Swords can be scary when summoned against us until we realize they can be vanquished with the Death Spell, Death Fog or even mere Magic Missiles.

Upon casting this spell, the wizard brings into being a shimmering, swordlike plane of force that leaps into the wizards hands. The sword acts as a +4 weapon in all respects, as well it inflicts 5-20 damage when a successful attack is made in combat. Once the spell is cast the sword will float in the air completely under the control of the caster. Note that this does not prevent the caster from doing any other actions during the spell duration.
