ToBEx Baldur's Gate 2

ToBEx BG2

ToBEx is a Baldur's Gate 2 mod for BioWare's cRPG of 2000-2001, Baldur's Gate 2. ToBEx is an Infinity Engine extension that fixes engine bugs, tweaks engine behavior and externalizes hardcoded features in order to facilitate end-user modding. Thus, ToBEx is to Baldur's Gate 2 what OpenXcom is to X-COM UFO Defense, sfall is to Fallout 2 and Temple+ is to ToEE.

SCS BG2, BG2 Improved GUI and IWDification Mod are examples of mods that employ ToBEx's extensions.

Laughably, there is no TotSCEx for BG1 Original.

BG2 Disable Auto Saves

How about the ability to disable auto-saves without needing to use a Hex editor? I mean, how can that NOT be a priority for Baldur's Gate modders? 20 years after the game's release, we still can't mod out auto-saves without hex-editing. Bravo.

Auto-saves on area transition are one of the stupidest ideas ever. Only idiots don't frequently save their games with Quicksave and separate named-saves. The only time there should be auto-saves is when the player has been forced to watch a long, unskippable cutscene, pre-battle. But cutscenes shouldn't be a factor in cRPG Design in the first place; they are nonsense.
