Samargol - Heavy Weaponry

This is the second quest given to us by Vadin'ya. She wants a flaming weapon from firenewts in the mountains, in the Mines of Selgol.

Mines of Selgol

The Selgol mines are a fair hike from Samargol.

Discarded tools and other equipment litter the entrance to this mine. Numerous footprints are evident in the dirt.

Firenewts - the Father of Dinosaurs knows well their scent. - Umoja.

Place is infested with fire-immune Fire Newts. Corrosive weapons are recommended.

Bookcase: Light Hammer +1, Amethyst, Topaz, Malachite.

Armoire: Flute, Lens of Detection, Thieves' Tools +3.

Skeleton: Scrolls of Identify, Haste, Cure Moderate Wounds, Remove Disease, Raise Dead.

Overlord Flamespar

It's best to move in with the tank and draw them back to the doorway in order to limit the amount of simultaneous attacks on the tank. However, even with that tactic the Cleric may need to stand behind the tank and spam healer's kits on him.

Overlord Flamespar: Great Axe of Flame +1 (greataxe, Fire +1d6), Snaketongue Amulet (Improved Saving Throws: Poison +1), Chainmail +1, Phenelope.

Torich - Into the Salt Mines

Also, while you're up here, it just so happens that Essien in the Broken Pick tavern of Torich wants the Mines of Selgol cleansed of the fire newts so that salt mining can resume there. Tell him the deed is done for 600 xp + Your first rare resource node: Salt. 1x Salt = 75 trade bars.

Ok, deliver the axe to Vadin'ya who  gives it to her half-orc bodyguard, Atriuk. 600 xp + 3,000 gp. Her store now upgrades [Storm of Zehir Item List].
