Missing Personnel

Quest: Samargol - Missing Personnel. Talk to Sa'Sani again and she thinks the ship was sabotaged. She seeks the captain of the ship, Lastri. Head out again and hike south of the shipwreck along the coastline. There you will spot the Stone Knives tribe cave.

Ok, so this is the first non-trival battle in SoZ. The first four Stone Knives warriors are hostile. I buff the tank with Bless, Bull's Strength and Bear's Endurance, then send him in to tank while the other four party members fire ranged weapons from the back row.

Chieftain Zhechrrog

Then, we move in deeper to confront Chieftain Zhechrrog. We can slay her or let her go for 750 XP.

Once again, the dwarf tanks the mob. But he gets dazed. So the spellcasters launch a couple of fireballs to show the cannibals how to cook flesh properly.

Chieftain Zhechrrog: Shard of the Samarlogh +1 (short sword, Positive Energy 1d4, Extra Melee Damage: Bludgeoning), Ring of Protection +1, Leather Armor +1, Batiri Key.

Weapon Rack: Shortbow, Arrow +1 x99, Kama +1, Onyx Spear (Massive Criticals 1d6, Keen).

Crate: Keening Reeds (arrow x20),  Obsidian, Malachite, Bloodstone, Bastard Sword +1, Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds.

Other: Dagger +1.

Lastri Kassireh

Free Lastri Kassireh either using the batiri key or brute strength, then return to Sa'Sani for a reward: 1,000 xp + 2,000 gp.

Sell off all the gear you don't need to Irem, not Vadin'ya. Irem gives you more gold. You can definitely afford to enhance your arms and armor to +1 now. Also, make one or two weapons corrosive if you have the levels.

Quest: Samagol - Seeking the Truth. Sa'Sani now wants you to track down Luaire at the Lantanese Lumber Camp in the far north of Samarach. But first, head to Leira's Trick tavern and speak with Lastri.
