Dreadmaster of Bane Cleric Build IWD2
The Dreadmaster of Bane Cleric build is an Icewind Dale 2 Build in Black Isle's cRPG of 2002, Icewind Dale 2. The above screencap shows this juggernaut self-buffed at 30th level.
IWD2 cRPG itemization favors Wisdom over Charisma (Every God Ring IWD2), Cleric builds in general have the strongest melee prowess, and Dreadmaster of Bane receives a Banite Wisdom bonus (see: Hiepherus IWD2) plus an array of OP crowd-control spells.
Ideally, this Cleric build wields Best Weapon Icewind Dale 2.

- Expected Attack Bonus (17th, Thunder Clap, Great Axe of Flame IWD2): 21-16-11-9.
- Expected damage: 14-51 (Strength +6, 2d12+5 raw, 1d6 fire, 1d10 fire 10%, crit 19-20 x3).
- Expected AB Buffed (Bless, Prayer, Recitation, Holy Power and Champion's Strength): 30-25-20-18.
- Expected Damage Buffed: 24-61.
Dreadmaster of Bane Cleric Build Commentary
- Why the level of Monk? It's not just the Wisdom bonus to AC (which should scale to about +14), but also the ability to wear Thunder Clap IWD2 for +1 "ApR". Max ApR in IWD2 is 5. By rights, it would be 9 in IWD2: BAB (4) + Off-hand (1) + Haste (1) + Force of Lightning (2) [1] + Chain of Drakkas' Fury (1).
- Wait. Charisma is dumped — no Turn Undead? While it's nice to disrupt/chunk undead, you're diluting your stat-line by doing so, and that's not recommended in IWD2 solos. Besides, you will smash through undead legions with your preferred two-hander.
- Playstyle? A vicious mix of raw meleer and spellcasting juggernaut. Result? Everything gets a new asshole ripped for it.
As with the Sorcerer IWD2, we are relying heavily on Animate Dead, Gate (and Summon Monster IX) buffed with Champion's Strength and Recitation. We have to spend time buffing in order to wade into the fray; namely, Iron Skins (DR), Holy Power (+dmg) and Champion's Strength (4+1d4).
We get Destruction, Tremor and Fire Storm but they are underwhelming in comparison to the Sorcerer's Skull Trap, DBFB, Horrid Wilting and Meteor Swarm, which blast everything into oblivion.
As with the Sorcerer, our ace card for mass-immobilization is Symbol of Hopelessness. Divide & Conquer with Mass Dominate (domain).

Once things are immobilized and addled in the head, wade in with your undead and rip the aggro new assholes.
