When a high level monk hits someone, the victims often say it was like getting hit by a bolt of lightning.

The bracers known as Thunder Clap are a prized possession of the monks that own them. Being that monks rarely use weapons other than their own hands and feet, these bracers offer an edge in battle that is rarely seen in the Realms. These bracers allow the skilled monk to increase the speed of their attacks. The added speed dished out by these bracers have, on several occasions, evened the odds against would be bandits that try to outnumber their monk victims.
