Warband Best Weapons
The best weapon in Mount & Blade: Warband is the Masterwork Sword of War due to its combination of solid damage, speed and reach.
Best One Handed Weapon Warband
However, the Masterwork Heavy Bastard Sword is best if we want to wield a Reinforced Steel Shield in the off-hand, or fight while mounted.
Best Polearm Warband
Polearms are notable for their reach and shield-smashing ability. If we want to bash through shields then a Heavy Great Long Bardiche or Heavy Great Long Axe is best.
Best Bow Warband
As it pertains to ranged weapons, the best bow is the Masterwork War Bow loaded with Khergit Arrows, and the best crossbow is the Masterwork Siege Crossbow loaded with Steel Bolts.
Mods tend to crank up the stats of weapons. Take for example the Masterwork Four Handed Greatsword of Floris or the Sapphire Rune Two-Handed Sword of Pendor in comparison to the Masterwork Sword of War of Native (that is, of "vanilla" Warband).
