Warband Best Proficiencies

There are 6 weapon proficiencies in TaleWorlds' cRPG of 2010, Mount & Blade: Warband. The maximum assignable weapon proficiency score caps out at about 400, but weapon proficiencies can be trained up to 699 in-game. However, in normal play you will be lucky to reach 400 in two proficiencies (say, one-handed + bow).

Overall, the best proficiency in Warband is One Handed because it allows for a shield to be wielded off-hand.

One Handed Weapon Proficiency Warband

The one-handed proficiency covers the use of weapons such as swords, axes and maces.

Two Handed Weapon Proficiency Warband

The two-handed proficiency covers the use of weapons such as greatswords, greataxes and mauls.

Polearm Proficiency Warband

The polearm proficiency covers the use of polearm weapons such as spears, lances and staffs.

Archery Proficiency Warband

The archery proficiency covers the use of bows.

Crossbow Proficiency Warband

The crossbow proficiency covers the use of weapons such as crossbows and firearms (in mods).

Throwing Proficiency Warband

The throwing proficiency covers the use of throwing weapons such as javelins, darts and stones.
