As of 2023, this is a growing list of the best Diablo 2 items that I have found, bought, crafted, imbued, rolled or traded in single-player mode over a period of two decades. That means I make no claims to these items being on battle.net, and they are NOT for sale. The items are posted for reference and theory-crafting purposes only. 

• Best Weapons Diablo 2
• Best Armor Diablo 2 (and gloves, boots, belts, jewelry)
• Best Shields Diablo 2
• Best Jewels Diablo 2
• Best Charms Diablo 2

Note that many of these items are for Diablo 2 Twinking and others are extremely rare and expensive. Don't expect to ever acquire them through casual play, derping around and being clueless. Indeed, there are some items in this list that most veterans can expect never to acquire, even if they were to play for years on end. INDEED, good luck even finding screencaps on the internet of some of these items; some of them are one of a kind.

For some of these items, their merits may not be immediately apparent. Sometimes, it's how items work in conjunction with others that counts. That is why clueless players don't pick them up or undervalue them in trades. Prime examples include certain magic items and perfect superior or ethereal bases. But players who know the game are always seeking them out because they pave the way to godhood.

Remember that there is a massive difference in value between an imperfect item and a perfect item. Indeed, we can't have "godly" without perfection.

If we want to make a good Diablo 2 Build, we are going to need some of the items listed here. Just bear in mind that some items are rare to the point that, for many players, they may seem not to exist.

• 30 ed 18 min 9 max (show me the godliest martial build ever made: this jewel would improve it)
• 30 60 9 9 Rare Jewel (extremely rare and expensive; don't expect to ever find one)
• 7 9 9 10 Rare Jewel (as above, though not quite as impossible to acquire)
