Pantheon: Median XL 2012 v005: Sacred Amazon Bow Set (Diablo 2 Bowazon)

Pantheon is a Sacred Amazon Bow Set in Median XL 2012 v005.

No, I'm not sick of Bowazons yet. Just vanilla Diablo 2 Bowazons. In Diablo 2, I built a Bowazon up to the point where she could slay 7,000 enemies in 15 minutes [link]. While that was fun, moving onto Median XL is the natural progression at this point: Median XL 2012 v005.

Most notably, the full Pantheon set grants our Bowazon:

• 26 sockets (for runes, gems and jewels).
• 90 Mystical Orb enchanment slots (for reanimates, debuffs to enemy elemental resistances etc.)
• Solid elemental resists.
• Solid elemental damage coupled with huge debuffs of enemy resistances (making our passive Curare skill more potent, too).
• Solid raw physical damage.
• -33% requirements on all items (meaning more points can be invested into Dexterity).
• Total Character Defense +20%.
• A large flat boost to Dexterity coupled with a 66% bonus to total Dexterity.
• +45% Faster Hit Recovery +77% with Wolf Stance).
• The Wolf Stance (a Barbarian skill) grants us +50% damage, +32% IAS, +32% Hit Recovery and +55% Velocity (movement speed).
• 5% on-hit level 11 Time Strike (adds another attack).
• 5% on-hit level 29 Trinity Nova proc:

That proc radiates out to cover many, many viewports. It can also be triggered by Phalanx (as all procs can be). This is a trigger-only skill (it isn't a class skill).

As can be seen more clearly here, the most helpful effect of the proc is to temporarily immobilize the enemies by freezing them.

The Trinity Nova proc combined with level 49 Supernova procs (from Rare rings):

Coupled with sacred rings, amulet, belt and all of the MXL charms, the set is Destruction-proof at least once its pieces have been wisely mystical-orbed and socketed with key gems, jewels and runes.

The main active skills employed are Ghost Arrow and Barrage.

Maximum Barrage IAS:

(360-505k damage: 45 arrows; 5200 bonus magic damage to attack)

Maximum Wyrmshot IAS:

(213-300k damage: attacks up to 14 targets)

Maximum Ghost Arrow IAS:

(428-603k damage: 3198 bonus magic damage to attack)

Two plinks of a 41st rank Ghost Arrow:

Tears through physical-immune Fauztinville necrobots - and slices through walls like hot-knife-butter.

Drilling holes into mega-mobs:

Overall, it's a good set for a base. But crafted items and sacred uniques are even better.
