Neverwinter Nights 1 cRPG
Welcome to my cRPG blog on BioWare's Neverwinter Nights 1 of 2002, a cRPG built on the Aurora Engine. Neverwinter Nights is the successor to Baldur's Gate of 1998 and the Infinity Engine of 1998-2002.
Neverwinter Nights and its Aurora toolset of 2002 are the spritual successors to Neverwinter Nights of 1991 by Beyond Software and Unlimited Adventures of 1993 by MicroMagic.
NWN: Diamond Edition runs fine on Windows 8.1-11.
As of 2024 I have published over 500 hyperlinked articles and half a million words on the original Neverwinter Nights. In length the equivalent to several novels, no one in the world has written more on NWN than I have over the game's two-decade history. In addition, my NWN commentary is supported by 2,000 screencaps and infographics; again, more than any other site on the internet.
Neverwinter Nights 1 Veteran
Like many of my readers I have played Neverwinter Nights on and off for 20 years; that is, since the game came out. It has been great to hear from fellow veterans of NWN over the past several years. Thanks to the 20 or so modders and hundreds of other people that have commented on my NWN articles. I would like to especially thank Balkoth, Savant and Rogueknight for their valuable insights and corrections to my commentary.
