Fighter Thief Dual-class Build
The Fighter Thief Dual-class build combines the martial prowess of Fighter BG1 with the utility ability of Thief BG1.
When dual-classing from Fighter to Thief, a choice needs to be made:
- Dual at 6th for x4 backstab but no 7th level ApR bonus
- Dual at 7th for ApR +½ but only x3 backstab
6th results in a better backstabbing thief (x4) whereas 7th results in a better martial combatant (ApR +½, more HPs, and THAC0 +3 and dmg +2 over the 6th).
- Fighter 7 Thief 8 or Fighter 6 Thief 9
- Race: Human BG1
- Alignment: Neutral Good
- Stats: >=18/91-18-18-dump-dump-dump
- THAC0 BG1: 2
- Armor Class BG1: -10
- ApR BG1: 2 (3 under Haste BG1)
- Weapon Proficiency BG1: x9 weapon slots: High Masterery in one weapon, Specialization in another and Proficiency in three others
- HPs: 118 (7th), 114 (6th)
- Saving Throws: 8-10-9-10-11 (7th)
- Draw Upon Holy Might as Bhaalspawn Ability.
- Backstab BG1: x3 (7th), x4 (6th)
- Thief Skills BG1: 170 (7th) or 190 (6th) total point allocations; enough to max 2 of the 4 skills
