BOUNTY HUNTER, Baldur's Gate 2

Bounty Hunter BG2

Bounty Hunter is a Best Baldur's Gate 2 class in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. Bounty Hunters are notable for their trap-setting abilities.

Example of Bounty Hunter Tactics

Bounty Hunters can set up to 7 snares in a given area. We can set all of our snares, rest to replenish them, and then set more in adjacent areas. Since some enemies can be led between areas (aka, area-transition, cf. Seamless Transition cRPGs), we can lure them through several rooms and passageways, to their doom.

Take for example the encounter in the Den of Seven Vales.

ME TEMPER'S BAD ENOUGH WITHOUT YE BOTHERIN' ME.

There is a nasty rival adventuring party staying there led by a bad-tempered dwarf, so let's give them the surprise of a life-time. Upstairs, we set several snares just outside the room they're staying in. Then, we rest in the inn and set more snares downstairs. Then we rest again and set even more snares outside the inn. Next, we aggro our victims and lead them through those trapped areas. Dead.

This is a hunter of men, skilled in tracking quarry and bringing them back alive... whether for lawful authorities or underworld masters. Bounty Hunters are specially trained at their task and make fearsome opponents. They have honed their trap making abilities well beyond that of the average thief.

Bounty Hunter Advantages

  • He can lay special traps (other than the ones that all thieves receive). The traps are more powerful than the typical thief trap, and the effect varies according to level.
