Electronic Arts released Chuck Yeager's Air Combat for IBM PC MS-DOS in 1991. Chuck Yeager's Air Combat is a high-quality flight sim in terms of 3D graphics, controls, options and presentation.

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat is unique in that it allows players to mix and match aircraft from different eras via custom scenario creation.

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat was designed and programmed by Brent Iverson, drawn by Cynthia Hamilton and composed by George Sanger.

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat audio supports PC Internal Speaker, AdLib, Sound Blaster, Covox Speech Thing, Roland MT-32, Roland LAPC-1, Tandy TL/SL, CMS Gameblaster, and Gravis UltraSound. Chuck Yeager's Air Combat control supports mouse, high-resolution mouse (mouse2), keyboard, analogue joystick and Thrustmaster Flight Control System via "Yeager FCS".

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat was distributed on 2x 3.5" 720kB DD diskettes, 4x 3.5" 720kB DD diskettes (Gravis Ultrasound version) or 4x 5.25" 360kB DS DD floppy disks. Chuck Yeager's Air Combat installs via Yeager Air Combat Installation program (install a: c:). The install size of v1.1 is 2 megs and consists of 67 files (v1.0 consists of 9 files, yet is the same size).

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat requires an i80286 10 MHz CPU and 640K of RAM. However, a 386DX-33 MHz CPU and 2 megs of RAM is recommended.
