LHX Attack Chopper

Electronic Arts released by LHX Attack Chopper for IBM PC MS-DOS in 1990. In LHX players pilot the McDonnell Douglas AH-64A Apache, Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk or LHX (Light Helicopter Experimental) gunships. Players can also pilot the Bell / Boeing V-22 Osprey cargo and transporter aircraft.

LHX was programmed by Brent Iverson of Chuck Yeager's Air Combat and U.S. Navy Fighters fame. LHX graphics were drawn by Connie Braat and Cynthia Hamilton.

LHX Attack Chopper requires an i808x CPU and 512K RAM in CGA/EGA 320x200 and 640K of RAM in 256-color VGA 320x200. Low, medium and high detail can be set during the installation procedure or via in-game drop-down menu (Esc-key).

LHX Attack Chopper was distributed on 1x 3.5" 720kB DD diskette or 2x 5.25" 360kB floppy disks and extracts and installs to hard disk drive via LHX Attack Chopper Installation. The install size is 680 kbytes and consists of 10 files.

LHX Attack Chopper audio supports PC, AdLib and Tandy.

LHX Attack Chopper control supports mouse, keyboard and standard analogue joystick.
