Alien Alloys are UFO components in X-COM UFO Defense. Alien Alloys are employed in the manufacture of X-COM arms, armor and craft. For example:
- Heavy Plasma X-COM (1x Alien Alloys)
- Flying Suit X-COM (5x Alien Alloys)
- Avenger X-COM (120x Alien Alloys)

Alien Alloys are found during X-COM crash site, landing site and alien base missions.
Alien Alloys Research
Research of Alien Alloys is critical to game completion. Alien Alloys can be researched upon their acquisition; that is, after recovering Alien Alloys from a crash site or landing site. Alien Alloy research is one of four research components required for UFO Construction X-COM.
