Energy Weapon PC Games
PC game Energy Weapons include ray, beam and charge weapons such as laser, plasma and electrical pulse pistols, rifles, cannons, grenades, melee weapons, armaments, heavy weapons platforms and base defense installations. Inarguably, the God-king of PC game energy weapons is Mythos Games' X-COM: UFO Defense (1994).
While X-COM did not originate the energy weapon in PC gaming, its employment of laser, plasma and fusion weapons is the most impressive relative to its era -- and the most influential by far.

Perhaps the most famous of unique PC Game energy weapons, the Alien Blaster is found in Interplay's Fallout 1 (1997).
Another famous energy weapon is the Turbo Plasma Rifle of Fallout 1.

Even rarer (but not as good as the YK42B) are the Phazer and Solar Scorcher of Fallout 2.
