Crysis CryTek 2007 Original Version

Crysis Crytek 2007

Crytek released Crysis for Windows PCs in November of 2007. Crysis Warhead was released in September of 2008.

Due to the stress it put on hardware, Crysis was the King of BSODs in the late-2000s. Especially on the last level.

Crysis System Requirements

Under Windows XP DirectX 9.0c, Crysis requires an Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz, Intel Core 2.0 GHz or AMD Athlon 2800+ CPU, 1 gig of RAM and 256 megs of vRAM.

Under Windows Vista or Windows 7 DirectX 10, Crysis requires an Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz, Intel Core 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 3200+ CPU, 1½ gigs of RAM and 256 megs of vRAM.

12 gigs of HDD space is required.

Crysis requires at least an Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT or ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. On Vista/7, Crysis requires an Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT or ATI Radeon X800 Pro.

Crysis Warhead CCC3.0

This fiery, embery night-time motif used in the early stages of Warhead should have been employed longer, preferably for a whole stage, but instead, five minutes later, the devs have moved the player back into a luscious paradise (which, admittedly, looks more impressive than the original Crysis jungles). But still, it would have been sweet to extend this segment.
