In Phantasy Calradia for Warband, Master Mages are top-tier spellcasting troops that can be recruited from villages and towns of the Ridas Magocracy. Due to spellcasting being obscenely OP, Master Mages are easily the best combat unit in Phantasy Calradia. Master Mages cast Fireball, Lightning Bolt, Ice Storm and Haste. Note that Fireball and Ice Storm are area-of-effect (AoE) spells, meaning Master Mages can take out multiple units in one casting. In addition, they wield Master Staffs in melee that inflict non-trivial on-hit lightning damage. The only thing better than Master Mages are Hero or companion Mages.
