Pale Master, Neverwinter Nights 1, NWN 1

Pale Master NWN

Pale Master is a NWN class in BioWare's cRPG of 2002, Neverwinter Nights 1.

In Pale Master builds, we trade in spellcasting progression for superior tanking prowess. Pale Master builds are about tanking, not spellcasting or damage dealing.

We only take Pale Master levels if our main class has a strong offense. Usually, Pale Master levels are taken in builds that consist of a few levels in Bard or Wizard, several levels in Fighter, Cleric or Barbarian, and the remainder in Pale Master.

The undead graft that inflicts paralysis is pretty cool (it's visible, too), but what seals the deal are the scaling AC bonuses as well as PM's immunity to hold, stun, crits and paralysis.

Pale Master Description

Necromancy is usually a poor choice for arcane spellcasters. Those who really want to master the deathless arts almost always pursue divine means. However, an alternative exists for those who desire power over undead, without losing too much of their arcane power. Enter the pale master, who draws on a font of special lore that provides a macabre power all its own.
