Orbital Defense Pod SMAC
Orbital Defense Pod is a SMAC Base Facility in Firaxis' TBS Game of 1999, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (SMAC). Each undeployed Orbital Defense Pod has a 50% chance to prevent a Planet Buster attack against any of your bases. Defense Pods may only deploy once per turn; when no undeployed Pods remain, a Planet Buster can only be stopped by sacrificing one of the already-deployed Pods.
