NWN Rogue Build


A Rogue dual-wielding flashy rapiers.

The Rogue Build is a NWN Build for BioWare's cRPG Definition of 2002, Neverwinter Nights 1.

In Neverwinter Nights, pure Rogue builds should have martial, stealth, social and detection skills. They should be nimble and mobile on the battlefield.

This is a pure dual-wielding Finesse Rogue (rapier NWN) with Hide in Plain Sight (HiPS) from one Shadowdancer level.

NWN Rogue Build Foundation


  • Stats: 10-18-10-8-Int 16-8.
  • Human NWN, Neutral Good.

While building, remember the requirements for Shadowdancer: 

  • Skills: Hide 10 ranks, Move Silently 8 ranks, Tumble 5 ranks

Hide in Plain Sight Rogue Build


Hide in Plain Sight NWN is powerful. We can Sneak Attack NWN, disengage, hide, Sneak Attack disengage, hide -- rinse repeat until enemy dead.

Note that dual-wielding with Finesse delays our Shadowdancer level by 2 character levels (HiPS can be taken as early as 8th). However, I wanted this Rogue to dual-wield with Finesse as early as possible (3rd level). If you want HiPS at 8th, rearrange feat selections accordingly. Then, wield one melee weapon or a ranged weapon.

Epic Dodge NWN


  • Type of Feat: General
  • Prerequisite: 21st level, Dexterity 25+, Dodge, Tumble 30 ranks, Improved Evasion and Defensive Roll.
  • Specifics: The character avoids the first attack each round.
  • Use: Automatic.

Best Rapiers Neverwinter Nights


The best Rapiers for dual-wielding are Bleederkin and Devil's Sting, crafted by Rizolvir.
