This is a chronological list of 1980s Amiga games that may have made some Atari ST owners jealous, either because the Amiga games were not available on ST, came out on Amiga before ST or were simply better on the Amiga than on ST. If nothing is added in parenthesis, that means the Amiga game was not available on ST.
An appended asterisk (*) indicates that the Amiga version of the game is better than the ST version (either wholly or notably in audiovisuals).
Bolded Amiga entries signify particularly notable releases in computer game history.
- Defender of the Crown Amiga 1986 Cinemaware (Atari ST 1987)
- The Pawn Amiga 1986 Magnetic Scrolls (*)
- The Guild of Thieves Amiga 1987 Magnetic Scrolls (*)
- The Faery Tale Adventure Amiga 1987 MicroIllusions
- Typhoon Amiga 1987 Kingsoft
- Garrison Amiga 1987 Digital Dreams
- Hybris Amiga 1988 Martin Pederson (the ST could never do this)
- Sword of Sodan Amiga 1988 Discovery Software International
- Kampfgruppe Amiga 1988 Strategic Simulations Inc
- Bubble Bobble Amiga 1988 Software Creations David J. Broadhurst (*)
- The New Zealand Story Amiga 1989 Choice Colin Gordon (*)
- Super Hang-On 1988 Zareh Johannes (*)
- Xenon Amiga 1988 The Bitmap Brothers (*)
- Battle Squadron Amiga 1989 Martin Pederson (the ST could never do this)
- Datastorm Amiga 1989 Søren Grønbech (the ST could never do this)
- Silkworm Amiga 1989 Random Access (*)
- Xenon 2 Amiga 1989 The Assembly Line (*)
- Shadow of the Beast Amiga 1989 Reflections (* Atari ST 1990)
Note The Big Four of 1988: Hybris, Garrison, Kampfgruppe and Sword of Sodan. The ST would never get them. A 16-bit version of Kampfgruppe is reason alone to purchase an Amiga. The ST won in 1987, but not in 1988 or in any year subsequent.
