Neverwinter Nights IBM PC MS-DOS 1991 Beyond Software

Neverwinter Nights IBM PC 1991

Beyond Software released Neverwinter Nights for IBM PC MS-DOS in March of 1991. Built on the SSI Gold Box engine, Beyond Software's Neverwinter Nights was the first graphics-based online multi-player computer role-playing game.

If you have played BioWare's Neverwinter Nights of 2002, NWN of 1991 is basically an older AD&D Gold Box version of that.

The origin of Neverwinter Nights is SSI's Pool of Radiance of 1988.

Neverwinter Nights was designed by Don Daglow and programmed by Cathryn Mataga.

Neverwinter Nights requires 586,000 bytes of free conventional RAM and supports only PC Speaker or Tandy 1000 sound.

Neverwinter Nights displays in 4-color CGA 320x20016-color EGA 320x200, 16-color Tandy 1000 320x200 or 16-color VGA 320x200.

Neverwinter Nights was distributed on 2x 3.5" 1.44MB HD diskettes or 3x 5.25" 1.2 MB HD floppy disks and extracts and installs to hard disk drive via Neverwinter Nights Installation Program. The install size is 1.3 megs and consists of 35 files.
