Dragons in Computer Role-playing Games
cRPG Dragons are a formidable boss- and enemy-type in Computer Role-playing Games, though in rare instances dragons can be allies. For example, Spartan in the Aielund Saga is a companion. And NWN Shifters can transform into dragons.
cRPG dragons are basically souped-up Fighter Mages because they have martial and arcane prowess coupled with special attacks such as Dragon Breath, Dragon Fear and Wing Buffet.
The reward for slaying dragons is usually a ton of experience points and treasure (the dragonhoard). Sometimes, the dragon's scales can be forged into powerful armor (dragonscales).
The most famous cRPG dragon is Firkraag in Baldur's Gate 2, though Abazigal of BG2 is the most powerful. IWD, IWD2 and (unmodded) NWN dragons are laughing stocks in comparison.
Mechezaran Dragon Wreckage in Durlag's Tower. This could have been the largest dragon in the Forgotten Realms:
The Forest Dragon in Dark Side of the Sword Coast uses a recolored Wyvern sprite because DSotSC came out before BG2 and its dragon sprites.
Morentherene in Siege of Dragonspear employs the IWD2 dragon sprite:
Swordflight's Krackach'vraz'tar:
Undead dragons are called dracoliches. As per conventional liches, dracoliches are backed up by a phylactery.
Scar in the Aielund Saga:
Razorfang in the Aielund Saga:
Lair of the Song Dragon in Harp and Chrysanthemum (The Dove):

Abazigal Human Form in Throne of Bhaal:
Sherincal in Icewind Dale 2:
Red Dragon Disciples are those who tap into their dragon blood. NWN is the only cRPG that features RDDs.
