Hitmen Productions of Canada released NBA Live 95 for IBM PC MS-DOS 5.0 in 1995. NBA Live 95 was ported to PC from the original Sega Genesis version of 1994. However, the PC version of NBA Live 95 features high resolution graphics and a General Manager feature that is absent from the console versions.
The NBA Live 95 is based on the FIFA International Soccer engine of December 1993.
NBA Live 95 displays in 256-color VGA 320x200 or 256-color SVGA 640x480, but the SVGA active isometric drawspace is "only" 640x400.
The PC version of NBA Live 95 was lead-programmed by Robert White, and the lead artist was Mike Smith.
NBA Live 95 requires an i80486DX-33 MHz CPU, 409,600 bytes of free conventional RAM, 7,274,496 bytes of XMS RAM and VESA SVGA graphics card with 512K of vRAM. NBA Live 95 is a Rational Systems' DOS/4GW Protected mode run-time v1.97.
NBA Live 95 supports two-button joystick, Gravis Gamepad or keyboard control.
NBA Live 95 audio supports Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster 16, Sound Blaster Pro and Gravis UltraSound.
NBA Live 95 was distributed on 1x CD-ROM and extracts and installs to hard disk drive via NBA Live 95 Install. The install size is 200 megs and consists of 700 files.
