Automaton Arcanum

In Arcanum, the Automaton schematic is found in a chest in the basement of the scientician's worskshop in Ashbury. In order to assemble Automatons, we need access to both Mechanical and Smithy technological disciplines. We need 100 Expertise in Mechanical and 20 Expertise in Smithy. Then, we need Mechanized Arachnid + Elite Platemail, which themselves need to be assembled and forged out of Small Steam Engine + Large Gears, and Feather-Weight Chainmail + Dwarven Steel.

FWC must also be forged out of Leather Armor + Spool of Heavy Wire. See below for where to get these parts.

Automaton Schematic

The future has arrived! The greatest minds in the Mechanical discipline have collaborated to create the most unbelievable and unparalleled technological creation of all time. All hail the the Automaton! With even more armor and power than the Mechanized Arachnid, this bipedal behemoth is the ultimate destructive force!

With great patience (farming Small Steam Engines from inventors), it is possible to get an army of Automatons going. However, a few Automatons are enough to rip almost anything to shreds.

 

Automaton Stats

Automatons are deployed as per grenades: thrown from the quickslot. Dropping them on the ground does not deploy them. Automatons can be re-added to the inventory by simply clicking on them.

To heal Automatons, they must be actively deployed when we rest at inns. They do not heal if only in the inventory.

Automaton Components

• Small Steam Engine location: Randomly and rarely spawns in inventor vendor inventories.
• Large Gears location: Randomly and commonly spawns at junk shops (e.g, Ristezze in Shrouded Hills).
• Dwarven Steel location: Randomly and commonly spawns in the Wheel Clan blacksmith's vendor inventory.
• Spool of Heavy Wire location: Randomly and commonly spawns in inventor vendor inventories.
• Leather Armor location: Randomly and commonly spawns in blacksmith vendor inventories (e.g, Lloyd Gurloes of Shrouded Hills).
