Totemic Druid BG2
The Totemic Druid is a BG2 class in BioWare's cRPG of 2000, Baldur's Gate 2. Totemic Druid is the second best Druid kit.
Totemic Druid Spirit Animals
Notably, Totemic Druid spirit animals are immune to normal weapons as well as those of +1 enchantment, which is quite powerful in SoA (and broken in BG1). They are also immune to cold, magic cold, electricity, panic, poison, sleep, fatigue, petrification, confusion, berserk, charm, paralysis, slay, level drain and stun.
However, they are offensively weak. Indeed, anything Druids can summon are offensively weak in comparison to what Mage BG2 can summon. Druid summons are mostly defensive decoys in BG2.
The maximum no. of simultaneous summons is five. That is, we can only summon a max of five spirit animals at any one time (when by rights we should be able to summon a max of 7).
This druid closely identifies with a particular animal, an animal that he feels represents his spirit. This grants him a special connection to the animal kingdom, and he is able to call upon their spirits to aid him.
Spirit Wolf
Spirit Wolf has a THAC0 of 9 and inflicts an average of 7 piercing and 2 cold dmg at a rate of 3 ApR. Spirit Wolf has an Armor Class of -4, 56 HPs and saving throws of 7-9-8-9-10.
Spirit Lion
Spirit Lion has a THAC0 of 5 and inflicts an average of 16.5 slashing dmg at a rate of 3 ApR. Spirit Lion has an AC of -3, 72 HPs and saving throws of 8-10-9-10-11.
Spirit Bear
Spirit Bear has a THAC0 of 8 and inflicts an average of 9.5 slashing dmg at a rate of 3 ApR. Spirit Bear has an AC of 2, 96 HPs and saving throws of 8-10-9-10-11.
Spirit Snake
Spirit Snake has a THAC0 of 8 and inflicts an average of 7.5 piercing dmg at a rate of 2 ApR. Spirit Snake also inflicts on-hit 6 poison damage on failed saves vs. Death. Spirit Snake has an AC of -5, 45 HPs and saving throws of 7-9-8-9-10.
Totemic Druid Advantages
- May summon a special 'spirit' animal once per day per 5 levels of experience. Spirit animal is randomly selected from 'Spirit Bear', 'Spirit Wolf', 'Spirit Lion' and 'Spirit Snake'.
Totemic Druid Disadvantages
- Cannot shapeshift
