Weapon Modifications Deus Ex 1

Weapon Modifications are itemized modifications that can be attached to weapons in Ion Storm's cRPG of 2000, Deus Ex 1. Weapon modifications can add laser targeting and scopes to weapons, improve weapon accuracy and reload time, and increase weapon clip capacity.

In most cases, the statistical effects of multiple weapon mods of the same type stack. Obvious exceptions to this rule are the Laser, Silencer and Scope, which are one-off attachments.

To install a weapon modification, click on the weapon mod item in the inventory and drag it over and drop it onto the candidate weapon. Context-sensitive green-colored highlighting indicates which weapons can and cannot be modified with each weapon mod.

 

Note that completion of the first mission alone yields five weapon modifications (see above image).
