Deus Ex 1 Best Skills

There are 11 skills in Ion Storm's cRPG of 2000, Deus Ex 1. There are five utility skills, five weapons skills and one mobility skill (swimming). The best skills in Deux Ex 1 are Electronics, Lockpicking and Rifle Weapons.

The skill ranks are Untrained, Trained, Advanced and Master. The higher the rank, the more skillpoints required. It is not necessary to become Master in any skill, and it is better to achieve a rank of Trained in several skills rather than focus heavily in one skill. Medicine and Swimming are the least useful skills. Only focus in them if they facilitate your preferred playstyle and complement your Deus Ex 1 augmentations.

Note that some skills don't seem all that useful unless we are playing on Realistic difficulty setting (e.g, Environmental Training).

Deus Ex 1 Weapon Skills

Rifle is the best weapon skill in Deus Ex 1 due to the variety, versatility and upgradeability of rifles. The least useful weapon skill is demolition.

Deus Ex 1 Utility Skills

Lockpicking and Electronics are the best utility skills in Deus Ex 1 due to their usefulness as it pertains to exploration. The least useful utility skill in Deus Ex 1 is Swimming (though we should become trained in Swimming due to the low skillpoint expenditure).
