Vision Enhancement is a Deus Ex 1 Augmentation in Ion Storm's cRPG of 2000, Deus Ex 1. Due to its nightops and sonar imaging, Vision Enhancement is notable for increasing tactical gameplay in Deus Ex 1.

Vision Enhancement Description

By bleaching selected rod photrecptors and saturating them with metarhodopsin XII, the "nightvision" present in most nocturnal animals can be duplicated. Subsequent upgrades and modifications add infravision and sonar-resonance imaging that effectively allows an agent to see through walls.
