The Liberation of Korhal Brood War

The Liberation of Korhal is the fourth mission of the Zerg Campaign in Blizzard's RTS expansion of 1998, StarCraft: Brood War. Staged on Korhal, The Liberation of Korhal sets the Zerg Swarm against the Garm Brood of the UED Slave Brood as well as the Mar Sara and Cronus Wing UED Planetary Garrisons. In addition, The Liberation of Korhal introduces the Terran Valkyrie as an enemy unit.

I rushed to a combo of Mutalisks and Guardians backed up by Overlords. There were some epic battles at chokepoints versus stampeding Ultralisks. It was very satisfying to annihilate them via Guardian swarms as they charged blindly towards my bases.

This is the best single-player mission I have played in StarCraft 1.

Won with three bases. Lost too many units, but held on.

The Liberation of Korhal Mission Objectives

• Destroy all enemy bases. Not just every Headquarters -- every single building.
