Yielding a whopping $304,000 each when sold, Mind Probe is the Battlescape equivalent to Hyper-wave Decoder X-COM.

Mind Probe Location

Mind Probes are found during X-COM crash site, landing site and alien base missions.

Mind Probe Research

Mind Probe can be researched upon its acquisition; that is, after recovering Mind Probe from a crash site or landing site.

The mind probe is an alien communication device which is used to take information directly from brain waves. X-COM units can use this device in combat to display an alien's characteristics. Click on the mind probe and the 'use' option. Then click on an alien with the cursor.
