Legend of Faerghail 1990



Electronic Design Hannover released Legend of Faerghail for the Amiga in 1990. Legend of Faerghail was programmed by Olaf Barthel; its graphics drawn by Matthias Kästner; its audio composed by Andreas Starr.

Legend of Faerghail is a medieval-fantasy cRPG in which players create a six-person adventuring party.

Legend of Faerghail employs flip-screen exploration, turn-based combat and text-based menus that are nagivated via mouse-cursor and shortcut keys.

Legend of Faerghail displays in 32-color 320x200, but the active drawspace is only 120x119. [1] There is no actor sprite-scaling in flip-screen mode and there are no moving sprites in turn-based mode. 

Legend of Faerghail was distributed on 3x 3.5" 880kB DD diskettes and is hard disk drive-installable. The install size is 2 megs.

Legend of Faerghail was first released on the Amiga. The Atari ST and Amiga versions of Legend of Faerghail require 512K of RAM, but the game will employ 1 meg of RAM on the ST in order to reduce load-times. On the Amiga 1 meg of RAM is used for additional audiovisuals.
