Improved Girdle: Elves' Bane, sets Strength to 22

• Improved Girdle: Elves' Bane. MAFORG10, Strength set to 22, AC vs. piercing +3, usable by All classes.

An infamous highwayman in his day, Pandar of Scardale made quite a name for himself vexing the elves of Cormanthor forest. To their annoyance he continually used the wood to escape the law; and with the aid of this girdle, the elves' arrows as well. Unfortunately for Pandar, pit-traps and starvation proved a slower, but effective, substitution. Combined with potion of fire giant strength you gain the strength of one.

Crafted by Thorengrim Hammerfist in the Friendly Arm Inn, this Dark Horizons girdle is notable for its Strength setting feature which erroneously stacks with other Strength-boosting items to allow for Titan Strength, unbuffed (aka 25 Strength).

For those who don't know, a score of 25 in Strength adjusts THAC0 by 7 points and Damage by 14. This is the maximum Strength attainable in AD&D 2nd Edition, and it is godly. The cost to craft this item? 5,000 GP + Girdle of Piercing + Potion of Fire Giant Strength. What a ridiculous bargain.

  • Strength set to 22
  • Armor Class Bonus: +3 vs. piercing weapons
  • Weight: 2
