Secret Projects SMAC

Secret Projects are unique SMAC Base Facilities in Firaxis' TBS Game of 1999, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (SMAC). While Secret Projects are built only once, their benefits impact the entire SMAC Faction that built them, not just the Base from which they were built. In addition, only one instance of each Secret Project can be built on Chiron. If one faction builds a Secret Project first, no other faction may subsequently build that SP though they may acquire the SP through conquest; that is, annexation of the Base at which the SP resides. Lastly, if the Base at which the SP resides is destroyed, the SP is gone from the gameworld for good.

The best Secret Project in SMAC is The Weather Paradigm, and the best defensive SP in SMAC is The Hunter-Seeker Algorithm.
