Warlords 2 Original Version 1993



Strategic Studies Group released Warlords 2 for IBM PC MS-DOS 3.0 in 1993. Warlords 2 was designed by Steve Fawkner and programmed by Steve Fawkner and Roger Keating.

Warlords 2 is the sequel to Warlords of 1989 on IBM PC.

Warlords 2 displays 16-color square-pixel SVGA 640x480.

Warlords 2 requires 580K of free conventional RAM and can take advantage of EMS/XMS RAM. Warlords 2 can run up to 200% faster via EMM386 memory manager and 2 megs of EMS.

Warlords 2 music supports AdLib, AdLib Gold, Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro I (Yamaha), II (OPL), Sound Blaster 16, Pro Audio Spectrum/16, Roland Sound Canvas and Roland MT-32 & MPU-401. Warlords 2 sound supports Internal Speaker, AdLib Gold, Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro/16 and Pro Audio Spectrum/16. Warlords 2 employs digitized speech.

Warlords 2 was distributed on 2x 3.5" 1.44 MB HD diskette and extracts and installs via Strategic Studies Group Warlords 2 Installation Program. The install size is 5.4 megs (421 files).

The Warlords 2 Scenario Builder was released in 1994. Expanding and upgrading the original Warlords 2 installation, Warlords 2 Scenario Builder was distributed on 3x 3.5" 1.44 MB HD diskette and extracts and installs to hard disk drive via Strategic Studies Group Warlords 2 Scenario Builder Installation Program. The Warlords 2 install size becomes 14.4 megs (1179 files).
