Hammerhands Master of Magic
Hammerhands are Dwarven martial combat units in SimTex's cRPG of 1994, Master of Magic. Hammerhands are notable for being one the most powerful multi-figured units in Master of Magic.
This godly Hammerhands unit was achieved by a 6 Life Warlord Myrran Build that gained 2x Life, 2x Sorcery, 2x Nature and 1x Chaos spell books, in-game.
Note that Hammerhands are 8-figure combat units!
Here is the initial Dwarf Fortress maxed out:
Here is an even stronger version of the Hammerhands with Iron Skin instead of Stoneskin, as well as Immolation and Righteousness. This was deeper into the 300-year game.
The inset image shows a movement rate of 8 instead of four (Haste can only be cast in-battle, as with Blur and High Prayer).
Note that just ONE of those Hammerhands units (which can march in stacks of up to nine) can take out several Great Drakes.
For 100 years, that Hammerhands unit -- only one -- defended a town against maxed doomstacks of rampaging monsters, including demon lords, death knights, werewolves and wraiths. At 2 points of fame per encounter, the Hammerhands unit accumulated 200 fame over that century.
And so it was that for a full century a single Dwarven unit -- the most stalwart of all Hammerhands -- guarded the gates of the city of gold against the rampaging demon and undead hordes of Myrror ... An epic feat that would become myth and legend...
The default, unbuffed Hammerhands unit (base stats):
